Well I'm pleased that this actually worked out as I'd hoped. Now, I've divided up this blog into sections. Able to separate content and structure!
I am hoping to move this to legitimate servers, in order to manage this more efficiently from a database, and hopefully I'll be able to manage it more from a CMS / CRM perspective. I should probably put up a downloads page eventually for other layouts that I decide upon for both static html/xhtml blogger sites, as well as asp/php versions for those interested in more dynamic controls.
The following sections are currently available for viewing:
- Poetry Blog
- General Blog
- Welcome Page (this particular page you're reading now)
Each has a different color scheme and the dynamic features are integrated with each, yet the content is seperated in the usual blogger methodology.
I think it was definitely a blessing in disguise that the yahoo blogger of mine went out when I decided that I was going to slowly make the transition from IT to journalism. This system has allowed me to find a way to create a blog that is more user friendly in the sense of easy navigation to the different sections, keeping everything contained properly within its own section.
I also have to admit that it will be a lot of fun to set up different color schemes. I'm not really happy with the header of this page, and do need to find a different way to display the description, as well as create some sort of generic background that will accomodate each of the theme's and structures.
I decided to go with a larger image, which has created a situation where the welcome page (this particular one that you're reading now) will need a better color scheme to more reflect the other schemes of the rest of this section of pages.
I'm still not quite sure yet if I want to integrate my business information with the personal information except in the area of marketing. However, it is still important to me that there be some unity, if not symbiosis to show the variety of my skills.
However, all things being equal, I do hope that if you're reading this blog, that you'll be comfortable with traversing to the different sections, without too much issue.
